We loved the house!
We have fished, canoed, walked the beaches, watched sunsets, motorcycled to the north and the south, had campfires, watched the mist come over the lake, played the piano(well, my husband did), and more. We have laughed at our 13 year old lab, Strider, reteive in the waves at the lake, in the river and at your beach. It was funniest when I would go out in the canoe he would not let me go too far, he would walk out to get me and guide me back in. I guess you can tell that we have had a good time.
We loved your place and our vacation--the views of the water and closeness to rivers, lake MI etc. I rented a motor boat from Riverside and brought it up the river to Big Platte and we went fishing for a day -- that was the best! Thanks for letting us stay at your home. Your neighbors are very nice! Have a good year let me know if you're renting it out again next year.

Thank you for providing a wonderful place to enjoy! It was easily the most relaxing vacation I have been on in years. Reading by the lake has been so peaceful. We also had fun playing frisbee in the water. Our eleven year-old dogs also thank you for allowing them to come along. They looked like pups again, hiking in the woods—they had fun too! Since I was already pretty familiar with the surroundings we stuck to many of the places I frequent when I am in the area fishing. We love the area and this week just reminded us even more as to why we do! Your neighbors were very hospitable - even taking my visiting nephew out onto the lake tubing.

I just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time at your lovely cottage! We entertained our son and his girlfriend, and then our sister and her husband. Beautiful site—great walks/runs to the lake. Our setter made friends with all of your neighbors. We were very pleased that the cottage and the facilities were as advertised. Everything went well and we did not encounter any problems. Even the weather cooperated. We met your immediate neighbors on both sides and everyone was very friendly. We appreciated your high quality pots and pans and cooking utensils. We also appreciated all the instructions you left. On the last day we needed to find an emergency room for my sister (not a very serious problem) and we just looked in your book.

What a relaxing, scenic spot in our wonderful Northern Michigan. It was so nice to be able to enjoy your cottage for thirty days. You may notice claw marks in the drive as none of us wanted to leave. Thanks so much for making such a great summer possible for us!
The cottage was lovely. we enjoyed our stay beyond expectations. We especially loved sitting on the high deck in the A.M. with our coffee and watching the lake. It is so peaceful in the early A.M. We observed a mother duck with nine little ones swimming after her. We did not see many things on your list of activities because we found the cottage to be so wonderful. The one experience of visiting Interlochen stands out. We got there at 2 P.M., just in time for the tour: excellent. The beach at Lake Michigan you recommended was pristine and like a post card in beauty: the blue water and white puffy clouds against the bright blue sky...it does take you away.
Thank you for having this great cottage and allowing pets. We ALL enjoyed it. The grandchildren had a fun time swimming in the shallow water—it’s a great beach for children!

It was a relaxing week at a great cabin. Friendly neighbors (Bob, Mary, and their kids), and warm, beautiful water made boating and floating around on rafts just what our family needed. This included our lab Sophie who quickly became a seasoned water dog. A special thanks for the ideas on where to go and what to see. It made it very easy to get around. The Cherry Bowl Drive-In is a must—it was a good family atmosphere and a first for our teenage girls. They loved it! Much luck with your beautiful retreat—a little slice of heaven!
Our goal this summer was to have a few precious days in Michigan with our big kids, ages 31 & 26. We included my mom, 78 years, so I could completely enjoy the week.
We’ve had a great time. The weather has been perfect. The cottage has been a perfect gathering spot for all of us. The guest cottage gave grown son and fiancee privacy and space. The windows gave my mom a wonderful view when she felt it was too cool to venture onto the porch. The lake gave our daughter a place to paddle the canoe. This was our 5th vacation on Deadstream Road, and we were not disappointed. Having washer, dryer, and dishwasher was a real bonus. We wish you much good fortune with this sweet cabin. You’ve done a great job remodeling and we all took off our shoes!
Thank you so much for all of your help in finding our first rental in Northern Michigan. We truly loved your place and had such a wonderful time. The views, the activities etc. were just perfect for our family. Can’t wait to come back!

FYI, we have arrived and are very happy. The fall colors are absolutely beautiful. I have already referred your home to a person I met while hiking on the trails on the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Standout experiences included Old Mission Light House as well as the hike up to the Sleeping Bear Dunes and a car trip to Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive.
